The best ski resort in the Alps, Ischgl, gives you everything you wish: the best ski slopes, the most spectacular views, top of the mountain concerts and ice sculptures.

This Austrian resort, located in a traditional village with 1,500 inhabitants, offers a perfect combination of winter sports and quality entertainment; this is the reason for being awarded many times and appreciated by celebrities such as Rihanna, Alicia Keys or Nicole Scherzinger.

From the end of November until early May, Ischgl offers ideal conditions for winter sports, that will surpass all your expectations. The 238 km of Silveretta Arena comprises slopes for all categories of skiers that are improved each year, so skiing is an unforgettable experience.
There are more than 41 cable cars and chairlifts that take you to the slopes, including Fimbabahn, the first cable car in Austria…with heated seats; also, over 490 snow guns ensure that coverage and snow quality is consistent.
Do not miss the 11 km race, which starts on Greitspitz at a height of 2,900 m. And for adrenaline addicts, there are 12 miles off-shore routes and other undiscovered portions of snow.

Hotels, restaurants and nightlife:
The famous restaurants, rustic gourmet-booths and sun terrace from the slopes, offers a lively atmosphere.
“Relax. If you can…” is the slogan of this stunning resort, but is no way you can do that with such a nightlife (the area is also known as the party metropolis of the Alps) and the truth is you don’t really have time to sleep at night. But if you really want to sleep you can choose from a variety of hotels, villas, hostels – all prices, all possible facilities, all types of architecture… for all tastes.

Lille is the fourth largest city of France, and one of the best reasons to travel through Lille is that it is located near Paris and Belgium. You can easily visit these two places and find a cheap rail ticket to London. Eurostar trains provide easy access from London to Lille. You can get cheap Eurostar tickets for London to Lille and if you grab some latest Eurostar deals then you can save lots of money on your travel.

Lille is a wonderful place full of rich culture, ancient architecture and food. It is also a home to many wonderful museums and art galleries. Apart from that Lille is famous as a shopping destination too. There are more than 140 indoor shops located near the Eurostar train station. Lille is famous for its food, some of the best cakes and pastries are available at the small cafes in the indoor shopping complex. The other main attractions of the city are the famous opera house General de Gaulle of 17th century.

The architecture of Lille resembles its rich heritage of Netherland and France. The city has been ruled by many different cultures of the bygone era. Lille has been rules by duke of Burgundy, count of Flanders, the king of Spain and the Hapsburgs of Austria. The ruling kingdom of Lille was France, King Louis of France overtook the city from the king of Spain in 1887, since then it has remained under the country France.

Eurostar is the best way to travel from London to Lille and back. Due to the high-speed trains and economical rates, these trains compete with airlines. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes from London to Lille and vice versa. It is easier to get cheap tickets from London to Lille if you book early.

Located at the foot of Gurghiu Mountains, between the Corund River and the valley of the Târnava Mică River, Sovata attracts tourists not only in the hot season, but also in the cold season too. Being one of the most fashionable spas in Romania, Sovata is a perfect choice to spend your winter holiday with your family and friends for a lot of fun and for a refreshing beginning of the year.

One of the most popular tourist attractions of the area is the Bear Lake, which is unique in Europe thanks to its helio-thermal and salty water. Also, Bear Lake is one of the largest salty and helio-thermal lakes in the world, with well-known therapeutic effects; on summer, its temperature can reach up to 40-50 degrees Celsius. But the Bear Lake is not the only salty lake in the area;
there are four other salty lakes: Black Lake, Nut Lake, Red Lake and Green Lake.

Apart from the possibilities of relaxation and treatment by hot baths (in tubs or pools with salt mineral water taken from lakes), nature comes with an irresistible offer: the ski slope. The slope is only 6 km from Sovata and is perfect for advanced skiers and for beginners too. While you’re in the area, you should also visit Praid Salt Mine (Salina Praid), one of the largest salt mines in the country and Europe; it dates back to the Roman era.

From Corund Village you can buy souvenirs for loved ones: ceramics and some other products made from straw, wool or wood. Here you can
also enjoy a traditional Romanian atmosphere.

The surreal blue color of Garda Lake and the rugged mountains with snowy peaks that surrounds it offers an overwhelming view. On the banks of the lake, a host of colorful plants get you thinking about the Mediterranean coast and the small towns and picturesque resorts, with narrow streets and cozy cafes, awaits its guests in every season.

Riva, a small town located in the extreme north of the lake, seems to be the most preferred destination among tourists. A few kilometers away is Torbole, the paradise of those who love water sports. Among the stone walls of the mountains that surround the resort, the wind always creates good conditions for surfing.

But Lake Garda is not only an ideal holiday setting for water sports lovers; it is also, an idyllic destination for those who prefer peaceful and romantic places. For the latter ones, Gardone Riviera (a nostalgic town with hotels and promenade, excellent if you want quiet walks), Salò and Sirmione are pleasant lakeside resorts where they will feel at ease.

Even if is less spectacular than the western shore (because of its smoother relief), the east shore of Lake Garda also has much to offer: Bardolino, a city surrounded by vineyards, Punta San Vigilio, a charming village and a very romantic place, or the old Malcesine Castle, a medieval fortress built on top of a hill.

Dropped between the mountains of northern Italy, Lake Garda is a place where you’ll find a piece of “bella Italia“, just like in your vacation
dreams.

You are tired to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the mountain or at the restaurant and you’re looking for a special place to start the New Year? How about a shift of the year at the foot of Mount Olympus?

In summer, Greek seaside is one of the favorite destinations of many people around the world. But few people know that in the cold season, the resorts and towns on the Aegean shore are also delightful and the climate is mild enough for romantic walks and pleasant evenings spent on the terrace.

One of the most exciting places to celebrate New Year’s Eve and also an affordable holiday destination is Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece. Thessaloniki or the capital of Northern Greece, as locals call it, has some of the finest hotels, best restaurants and most beautiful beaches in northern Greece. White Tower, Saint Demetrius Church, Rotonda and the Arch of Galerius are just some of the highlights of the city.

Very close to Thessaloniki (75 km south of city) and 20 km from Mount Olympus is Paralia Katerinis, a charming settlement on the shores of the Aegean Sea with romantic streets, traditional taverns and many restaurants with delicious Greek food. Here in Paralia you can also find many jewelry and fur stores, which, in the cold season, offers discounts that are really tempting.

Despite being one of the oldest cities in Europe, today Thessaloniki is a modern city, full of life, competing in beauty with Athena and Kavala, a blessed place, where the beginning of the year cannot be otherwise than hopeful.

Palma de Mallorca is the capital city of the Balearic Islands in Spain and also, one of the most beautiful cities of Mediterranean area. By 1890, Palma de Mallorca was still a small town surrounded by medieval walls. After this year, expansion of the city grew, surpassing the old limits. Currently, about 400,000 people live here, meaning almost half of the whole population of Majorca.

The most impressive building in town is undoubtedly La Seu (The Cathedral of Light), which rises majestically above the port, like a giant of the sea who guards it. The Cathedral offers a wonderful view, especially in the evening.

Nearby you will find La Almudaina Royal Palace, famous for its embattled walls. In the past, ships had been anchored right in front stairs of the royal residence, but today the palace is separated from the sea by Parc de la Mar.

In the south-east area of Palma, behind the Cathedral, you can visit The Old City, it is a maze of streets, stairs and superb hidden markets, considered to be among the Europe’s most picturesque cities. Here you can relax, enjoying this very special place, you can visit ancient palaces of noble families, villas with heavy wooden doors and inner courtyards full of mystery, little shops, cafes and herbal pharmacy where you can find exotic plants and herbs.

The best place for shopping is located between La Seu and the Mercat Olivar (a traditional Spanish market). After a day of shopping on the Passeig des Boru Street, enjoy a coffee break at one of the cafes that have outdoor tables in the popular, pedestrianised square, Placa Major.

Visiting surroundings
If you want to visit surroundings of Palma de Mallorca, the tour options are varied and tempting. For example, you can enjoy sunny days on Playa de Palma, a superb 6km beach located in the East of Palma de Mallorca. If you are a romantic person, do not miss a walk along the promenade in a carriage. Also, at 3 km northwest of Palma, Bellver Castle is one of the main tourist attractions of the Majorca that can’t be missed.

According to tradition, Lisbon was founded by the Phoenicians, the great explorers of antiquity. Capital of Portugal since the 13th century, Lisbon is considered today one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A cosmopolitan city, Lisbon was in 1994 European Capital of Culture. According to the International Congress & Convention Association, Lisbon is one of the most requested cities in the world to host international events.

St. George’s Castle (Castelo de São Jorge) was built in the tenth century and was used as a royal residence since 1260, when Lisbon became the capital of the Kingdom. In the fourteenth century, King João I married Princess of England, Philppa of Lancaster, and the king dedicated the castle to St. George, (a saint who was revered in both countries). In 1499, here has been organized by Manuel I a pompous royal reception, in honor of Vasco Da Gama. In 1505, King Manuel I moved the royal residence in the Ribeira Palace; as time went on, the São Jorge castle lost its importance. Destroyed by earthquake in 1755, the castle would be strengthened only in 1910.

Belém Tower, a symbol of Portugal, with ornaments of stone, with small towers built in Moorish style, offers a charming view for tourists. Built by King Manuel I to monitor the entrance of the city’s port, the tower served as a prison and arms depot.
Ordered by the same king, Jeronimos Monastery was built in the sixteenth century, and in 1983 was included by UNESCO, with Belém Tower, on “World Heritage List”.

Other sights that cannot be missed:
• Maritime Museum (one of the most visited Portuguese museums, dedicated to all aspects of the history of navigation in Portugal);
• The National Coach Museum (it has one of the finest collections of historical carriages in the world);
• The National Tile Museum (a museum dedicated to the ceramic tile, includes tiles dating from the second half of the 15th century);
• “Campo de Santa Clara” (an imposing baroque church, whose construction began in 1682 and was completed 284 years later);
• “Largo da Sé” (Lisbon’s oldest church, built by the first Portuguese king, D. Afonso Henriques, in the twelfth century);
• Oceanarium (the largest in Europe);
• Lisbon Zoo (here live more than 2000 animals from 330 different species);
• Edward VII Park (named after King Edward of England, following his 1903 visit to Portugal);
• “Aqueduct of the Free Waters” (built in the 18th century);
• The Marquis of Pombal Square (one of Lisbon’s busiest squares, named after the prime minister responsible for the rebuilding of Lisbon following the Great Earthquake in 1755 );
• The Belém Cultural Centre (is the largest building with cultural facilities in Portugal).

This major port city is situated on the Elbe River in northern Germany, being Germany’s second-largest city. Hamburg is considered a “gateway to the world” and, rightly, the “highlight of the north”, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Here are some arguments for such attributes, and an invitation to visit this unique city.

The city can be visited on foot because the most important sights are located very close to each other, either by bus bunk or by many boats that go through the channels of Hamburg. Often crossing the city by boat makes you think of Venice; in Hamburg there are 1,000 bridges over rivers and canals.

Hamburg offers a lot to its visitors: fun, culture, excellent restaurants, great shopping, exciting nightlife and a large number of tourist attractions that make this city a popular holiday destination.

The most interesting sights in Hamburg are: the harbor and the Historic Warehouse District (Speicherstadt), the Hamburg Rathaus and City Hall Market (Rathausmarkt), Church St. Michaelis and the Otto Von Bismarck Statue. Also the Hamburg Fish Market worth a visit.

The most famous shopping street in Hamburg is Mönckebergstrasse, named after the city’s mayor, in the early twentieth century. This magnificent boulevard is sprinkled with numerous old merchant’s villas that are now home to a wide variety of huge department stores such as Galleria, Mellin Passage, Levante Haus but Europa Passage is the largest, most modern and impressive shopping centre.

This 5 star holiday resort is situated in the heart of the Swiss Alps, at 60 km from Bern, between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz, at the foot of the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau.

The resort has expanded considerably by the union of three settlements: Matten, Interlaken and Unterseen. The Victorian atmosphere of the city is completed by the facilities offered to the highest standard. In this superb place is said to have lingered the Swiss hero Wilhelm Tell.

First hotels were built in Interlaken – one of the oldest Swiss resorts – since 1806. Today, many hotels are located along the Höheweg avenue which offer good views of the mountains.

Most tourists come here attracted by the rugged beauty of the surrounding peaks; the main attraction is probably the magnificent Jungfrau (4,158 m) and the nearby Jungfraujoch railway station (3,450 m). The glaciated region located here, Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn, is the largest in Europe. Sphinx Terrace, from the foot of the glacier, offers an excellent view of the Jungfrau plateau and Ice Palace.

Interlaken is frequently visited by adventure-seeking backpackers throughout the year. If you love outdoor sports and you want to travel in the surrounding Bernese Oberland Alps, than Interlaken is the right holiday destination for you!

Don’t forget about the Jungfrau Marathon, it starts in September in Interlaken! The Jungfrau Marathon is one of the best known mountain
marathons in the world, 6 days of unlimited rail travel on the most scenic routes of the Jungfrau Region.
