The best ski resort in the Alps, Ischgl, gives you everything you wish: the best ski slopes, the most spectacular views, top of the mountain concerts and ice sculptures.

This Austrian resort, located in a traditional village with 1,500 inhabitants, offers a perfect combination of winter sports and quality entertainment; this is the reason for being awarded many times and appreciated by celebrities such as Rihanna, Alicia Keys or Nicole Scherzinger.

From the end of November until early May, Ischgl offers ideal conditions for winter sports, that will surpass all your expectations. The 238 km of Silveretta Arena comprises slopes for all categories of skiers that are improved each year, so skiing is an unforgettable experience.
There are more than 41 cable cars and chairlifts that take you to the slopes, including Fimbabahn, the first cable car in Austria…with heated seats; also, over 490 snow guns ensure that coverage and snow quality is consistent.
Do not miss the 11 km race, which starts on Greitspitz at a height of 2,900 m. And for adrenaline addicts, there are 12 miles off-shore routes and other undiscovered portions of snow.

Hotels, restaurants and nightlife:
The famous restaurants, rustic gourmet-booths and sun terrace from the slopes, offers a lively atmosphere.
“Relax. If you can…” is the slogan of this stunning resort, but is no way you can do that with such a nightlife (the area is also known as the party metropolis of the Alps) and the truth is you don’t really have time to sleep at night. But if you really want to sleep you can choose from a variety of hotels, villas, hostels – all prices, all possible facilities, all types of architecture… for all tastes.

Often after I travel abroad it’s not only a point of going through taxi for an office. Mostly I must go to a few customer centers or sales office of numerous companies. It’s not economical or specifically efficient to get this done by taxi and so I mostly hire an automobile. My company nowadays has a tendency to use rental cars.
On a pair of recent trip to Stockholm and also I have tried personally Sweden statoil biluthyrning again. As there’s generally me and my colleague a little car is going to do however nothing too tiny. On my last three trips I’ve had an Astra (that we didn’t like a car) along with a Citroen Xsara (that we did like). On occasions the vehicle was ready the moment I arrived and booked earlier through my organization it had been an easy signature, verify of my own driving license and on the vehicle parking area.

I had been mainly impressed by the vehicles at Gothenburg. As each cars were arrived it was obtaining a very good cleaning. It had been really proficient at Milan but nonetheless quite satisfactory. The vehicle ought to be full gas tank but wasn’t at Stockholm. It was noted about the documents but I’ll wait to determine the ultimate account before realizing they haven’t yet charged me for car fuel I didn’t use. Again at Gothenburg it was all correct.
Employees at statoil car rental are constantly very helpful and friendly. The cost are reasonable proficient at about €50 to €60 for that a couple of days at both the places plus insurance. We often fully insured our cars to prevent any potential problems. Dropping from the car in the airport was simple. A vital box is provided within the airport car park.
Overall, I was happy using the easy booking online along with the easy collecting the vehicle on arrival and departures. My only thinking was the scratches and dents about the car. I simply hope they had noted them all and never thought we put the scratches about the car. To conclude for cost, service and efficiency statoil car rental are extremely good.

If you have been to Europe, you would have noticed the elegant for two most every place, left on pathways, or nosed between a couples of parallel parked cars. They are compact, however DaimlerCrysler has not overlooked the security facets associated with the diminutive cars; based on car importer Move, “The tridion security cell sorts the primary component of your body of every smart car.

It’s constructed specifically from high-tensile metal and helps to create a cage-like security structure for those residents. The tridion security cell helps make the wise city-coupon among the most secure of small cars regarding its collision security characteristics. It’s already been verified by several collision assessments performed in European countries.”
I attempted to Budget location voiture Maroc that has the only smart for two, because I have been alone about this vacation, however was “enhanced” towards the unique Smart for Four. Toddler considers four persons as well as their baggage within the particular Smart for four, no doubt. There is hardly enough space for any journalist’s group within the “trunk area”, that, incidentally, is revealed–a very bad thing if you are stashing things inside an important European city.
I leased mine through them. The price for nine days was 222euros, despite the fact that I selected full insurance coverage and chose to not thoroughly clean the vehicle prior to returning it (Budget provides you with select washing the car you to ultimately save the your current rental).

But when you are a couple and wish to drive an enjoyable car in your European Holiday trip, the particular Smart cars for Four in Budget car rental might just be for you personally. It is virtually typical European sleek and stylish in sizing has a 1.1 liter fuel engine which swallows fuel perhaps if driven hard. I did not make use of an entire container in 9 days of traveling. The broad, small profile wheels hold the street tenaciously, along with 4 wheel disc brakes fetch the Wise to an end in a rush. The traveling posture is high quality, as well as a large guy much like me will find an appropriate position.

For the fans of wildlife photos, the Photographic Safari is the best way to photograph lions, giraffes and other animals of the African savanna, in their natural habitat. With many natural parks, Kenya is one of the best countries for achieving this type of images.

Lion in Masai Mara National Park

If the main purpose of your trip is the wildlife photos, you should travel with a group of people that shares the same objective as you do. For high-quality wildlife photographs you must wake up early and be ready to leave at 5:30 a.m. Also, you have to take a long break at noon when the light is harsh and stay till early evening when animals are more active. Moreover, a guide and a driver who are familiar with the geography and the animals and have some
experience with photographers are very important. They will find suitable areas and will know how to position the vehicle for a perfect light. And remember: no more than three or four photographers in one vehicle, otherwise, you will be interfering with others! Here, most of the 4×4 vehicles have convertible tops so you can easily take photos and you are safe.

Elephants in Masai Mara

In a huge park like Masai Mara leaving trail is very useful, but only for experienced photographers who know the area, otherwise it is dangerous to walk free. But don’t worry! You can take photos from inside safari vehicle. The driver can take you close to animals in certain parks, where the vehicles are free to go off road. But in some others, the safari vehicles are restricted to the roads so you should take at least two camera bodies with you, one should have a 300mm lens and the other 600mm lens. As well, before you buy or rent photo equipment you should inform yourself about the feeding and mating behavior of the savanna animals and would be good to get some information about their diurnal and seasonal life cycles. Some animals hunt only at night, others only in the evening; some animals carry a certain behavior only in the rainy season. Is hard to believe that you could photograph a leopard hunting during the day, this beautiful cat is a nocturnal animal.

Located at the foot of Gurghiu Mountains, between the Corund River and the valley of the Târnava Mică River, Sovata attracts tourists not only in the hot season, but also in the cold season too. Being one of the most fashionable spas in Romania, Sovata is a perfect choice to spend your winter holiday with your family and friends for a lot of fun and for a refreshing beginning of the year.

One of the most popular tourist attractions of the area is the Bear Lake, which is unique in Europe thanks to its helio-thermal and salty water. Also, Bear Lake is one of the largest salty and helio-thermal lakes in the world, with well-known therapeutic effects; on summer, its temperature can reach up to 40-50 degrees Celsius. But the Bear Lake is not the only salty lake in the area;
there are four other salty lakes: Black Lake, Nut Lake, Red Lake and Green Lake.

Apart from the possibilities of relaxation and treatment by hot baths (in tubs or pools with salt mineral water taken from lakes), nature comes with an irresistible offer: the ski slope. The slope is only 6 km from Sovata and is perfect for advanced skiers and for beginners too. While you’re in the area, you should also visit Praid Salt Mine (Salina Praid), one of the largest salt mines in the country and Europe; it dates back to the Roman era.

From Corund Village you can buy souvenirs for loved ones: ceramics and some other products made from straw, wool or wood. Here you can
also enjoy a traditional Romanian atmosphere.

You are tired to celebrate New Year’s Eve on the mountain or at the restaurant and you’re looking for a special place to start the New Year? How about a shift of the year at the foot of Mount Olympus?

In summer, Greek seaside is one of the favorite destinations of many people around the world. But few people know that in the cold season, the resorts and towns on the Aegean shore are also delightful and the climate is mild enough for romantic walks and pleasant evenings spent on the terrace.

One of the most exciting places to celebrate New Year’s Eve and also an affordable holiday destination is Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece. Thessaloniki or the capital of Northern Greece, as locals call it, has some of the finest hotels, best restaurants and most beautiful beaches in northern Greece. White Tower, Saint Demetrius Church, Rotonda and the Arch of Galerius are just some of the highlights of the city.

Very close to Thessaloniki (75 km south of city) and 20 km from Mount Olympus is Paralia Katerinis, a charming settlement on the shores of the Aegean Sea with romantic streets, traditional taverns and many restaurants with delicious Greek food. Here in Paralia you can also find many jewelry and fur stores, which, in the cold season, offers discounts that are really tempting.

Despite being one of the oldest cities in Europe, today Thessaloniki is a modern city, full of life, competing in beauty with Athena and Kavala, a blessed place, where the beginning of the year cannot be otherwise than hopeful.

Palma de Mallorca is the capital city of the Balearic Islands in Spain and also, one of the most beautiful cities of Mediterranean area. By 1890, Palma de Mallorca was still a small town surrounded by medieval walls. After this year, expansion of the city grew, surpassing the old limits. Currently, about 400,000 people live here, meaning almost half of the whole population of Majorca.

The most impressive building in town is undoubtedly La Seu (The Cathedral of Light), which rises majestically above the port, like a giant of the sea who guards it. The Cathedral offers a wonderful view, especially in the evening.

Nearby you will find La Almudaina Royal Palace, famous for its embattled walls. In the past, ships had been anchored right in front stairs of the royal residence, but today the palace is separated from the sea by Parc de la Mar.

In the south-east area of Palma, behind the Cathedral, you can visit The Old City, it is a maze of streets, stairs and superb hidden markets, considered to be among the Europe’s most picturesque cities. Here you can relax, enjoying this very special place, you can visit ancient palaces of noble families, villas with heavy wooden doors and inner courtyards full of mystery, little shops, cafes and herbal pharmacy where you can find exotic plants and herbs.

The best place for shopping is located between La Seu and the Mercat Olivar (a traditional Spanish market). After a day of shopping on the Passeig des Boru Street, enjoy a coffee break at one of the cafes that have outdoor tables in the popular, pedestrianised square, Placa Major.

Visiting surroundings
If you want to visit surroundings of Palma de Mallorca, the tour options are varied and tempting. For example, you can enjoy sunny days on Playa de Palma, a superb 6km beach located in the East of Palma de Mallorca. If you are a romantic person, do not miss a walk along the promenade in a carriage. Also, at 3 km northwest of Palma, Bellver Castle is one of the main tourist attractions of the Majorca that can’t be missed.

According to tradition, Lisbon was founded by the Phoenicians, the great explorers of antiquity. Capital of Portugal since the 13th century, Lisbon is considered today one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A cosmopolitan city, Lisbon was in 1994 European Capital of Culture. According to the International Congress & Convention Association, Lisbon is one of the most requested cities in the world to host international events.

St. George’s Castle (Castelo de São Jorge) was built in the tenth century and was used as a royal residence since 1260, when Lisbon became the capital of the Kingdom. In the fourteenth century, King João I married Princess of England, Philppa of Lancaster, and the king dedicated the castle to St. George, (a saint who was revered in both countries). In 1499, here has been organized by Manuel I a pompous royal reception, in honor of Vasco Da Gama. In 1505, King Manuel I moved the royal residence in the Ribeira Palace; as time went on, the São Jorge castle lost its importance. Destroyed by earthquake in 1755, the castle would be strengthened only in 1910.

Belém Tower, a symbol of Portugal, with ornaments of stone, with small towers built in Moorish style, offers a charming view for tourists. Built by King Manuel I to monitor the entrance of the city’s port, the tower served as a prison and arms depot.
Ordered by the same king, Jeronimos Monastery was built in the sixteenth century, and in 1983 was included by UNESCO, with Belém Tower, on “World Heritage List”.

Other sights that cannot be missed:
• Maritime Museum (one of the most visited Portuguese museums, dedicated to all aspects of the history of navigation in Portugal);
• The National Coach Museum (it has one of the finest collections of historical carriages in the world);
• The National Tile Museum (a museum dedicated to the ceramic tile, includes tiles dating from the second half of the 15th century);
• “Campo de Santa Clara” (an imposing baroque church, whose construction began in 1682 and was completed 284 years later);
• “Largo da Sé” (Lisbon’s oldest church, built by the first Portuguese king, D. Afonso Henriques, in the twelfth century);
• Oceanarium (the largest in Europe);
• Lisbon Zoo (here live more than 2000 animals from 330 different species);
• Edward VII Park (named after King Edward of England, following his 1903 visit to Portugal);
• “Aqueduct of the Free Waters” (built in the 18th century);
• The Marquis of Pombal Square (one of Lisbon’s busiest squares, named after the prime minister responsible for the rebuilding of Lisbon following the Great Earthquake in 1755 );
• The Belém Cultural Centre (is the largest building with cultural facilities in Portugal).

Autumn has a special charm in all six states of New England. The spectacular fall foliage starts in the northern New England states (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire) typically in late September and moves down to the southern New England states (Connecticut, Massachusetts Rhode Island) around late October.

This article reveals New England’s most attractive destinations where you can admire the world’s most beautiful autumn.

1. Maine, the largest state in New England offers many options for relaxation. You will be delighted by the beauty of the landscape, whether you prefer canoeing on Moosehead Lake from Baxter National Park, whether you decided to take a tour of the Acadia National Park. If you can afford, you should also go shopping in the small town Camden, you will not regret it.

2. New Hampshire
Drive along the Kancamagus Highway, in the vast woods of the White
Mountains, to see the millions of trees that signal the autumn arrival with an explosion of red, purple and gold. Also, for a scenic tour on the M/S Mount Washington, drive less than an hour south from the White Mountains to Lake Winnipesaukee. Here you will enjoy a great view of the foliage with the mountains in the backdrop.

3. Vermont
Autumn creates a festive atmosphere in Vermont’s forests and plains. Everywhere you’ll see Covered Bridges, a unique feature of the Vermont landscape, taking you back to a distant time and place. At Morse Farm you will find out the secret of getting famous maple syrup and also enjoy free tasting and sugar house tours.

4. Massachusetts
You can go on the old Indians trails, starting with the Mohawk Trail, which was created as one of the United States’ first scenic highways; it follows much of the original Indian trail, for about 105 km through the Berkshire Mountains. Also, Old Sturbridge Village is a “must-see” destination which re-creates life in rural New England during the 1790s through 1830s.
A tip: do not miss the famous Boston!

5. Connecticut
You will be absolutely delighted to travel by Essex Steam Train, operated by the Valley Railroad Company. For both locals and travelers this is an unforgettable experience. This steam train was built in early 1920. Oh! And do not miss Waterbury! Here you will find over 50 antique stores and souvenir shops for the most discerning travelers.

6. Rhode Island
“The Ocean State” has many forested areas full of rivers and streams, romantic sunsets and beautiful vistas during foliage season. Visit Blackstone Valley to enjoy friendly activities like river walks (Blackstone River), scenic boat rides, bicycling and kayaking. Also go to the Oakland Forest and Meadow Trail, a pedestrian only trail, providing access to a unique ecosystem of old growth American Beech tree forest and meadow habitat.
Rhode Island is a place of dreams, suitable to complete your New England fall foliage tour.

So, if you want to see Eastern North America in glorious autumn colors, you should start packing because the spectacular fall foliage season begins in early September.
